Position: R&D Q/C Laboratory Technician
R&D Q/C Laboratory Technician (EOE) / Full-Time
BSN a world leader in Sports Nutrition has an immediate Full-Time position for a R&D Q/C Laboratory Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Perform laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
- Maintain and track electronic spreadsheet and paper log of laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance
- Perform organoleptic and various analytical testing of ingredients and final product to assure quality
- Maintain and track electronic spreadsheet and paper log of analytical results for raw materials and finished products
- Organize and track R&D laboratory raw material samples, reagents, certificates of analyses, source questionnaires, specifications and MSDS
- Maintain and track electronic spreadsheet and paper log of laboratory raw material inventory
- Perform various analytical testing to support clinical efficacy and safety trials
- Maintain and track electronic spreadsheet and paper log of analytical clinical trial results
- Prepare new product pilot samples for alpha testing. i.e. capsules, liquids, or powders
- Conduct and maintain training for the Biohazard Program
- Perform various testing on incoming laboratory raw materials
- Perform yearly physical inventory of laboratory raw materials
- Familiarity with the Sirrus StanBio Chemical Analyzer, Horiba Micros 60 Hematology Analyzer, Tosoh Immunoassay Analyzer, or Mel Temp 3.0 is a plus
Education Requirements: Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or an applicable discipline. Experience with nutritional supplements, dietary ingredients, or food preferred. 2 plus years laboratory experience preferred.
