A New York native, Bob first entered the world of competitive bodybuilding at the young age of 13, competing in his first show in 1979. He went on to win 14 teenage titles, and in 1987 took first place in the heavyweight and overall classes at the NPC Junior Nationals.
He turned pro at the 2000 NPC USA Championships, winning the super-heavyweight and overall titles, and most recently took first place at the 2006 Masters Pro World Championships. With his competition pedigree well-established, Bob began branching out into a variety of other activities, including television and film. He has appeared in a number of major Hollywood movies, done sketch comedy work for Spike TV, and was even one of the original American Gladiators. He currently represents his fellow bodybuilders as the Athlete Representative for the IFBB, and is also the host of the annual Mr. Olympia competition, the crown jewel of the IFBB season, and the voice of the hit radio show and podcast "Pro Bodybuilding Weekly."
Despite his close ties to the industry and experience as a company spokesman, this partnership with BSN® marks the first time Bob has ever signed with a nutritional supplement company, which speaks to the admiration and respect he has for BSN®. "BSN® represents the pinnacle of the industry, in terms of their innovation, their cutting-edge approach to product development, and just the overall coolness of the company," Bob explains. "It shows up in everything they do, from the ad campaigns, to the apparel, to the innovative new supplements they're always coming out with. It's just a great company."
